Quinte West Medical Centre and the Brighton Quinte West Family Health Team
The Brighton Quinte West site in Quinte West is located at the Quinte West Medical Centre, conveniently located adjacent to the Trenton site of Quinte Health Care.

The Quinte West Medical Centre was established by a group of dedicated citizens to ensure office space for new primary care physicians relocating to the community. The Centre was generously funded by the City of Quinte West, the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Rotary Club of Trenton.
In the fall of 2007, the physicians became affiliated with the Brighton Family Health Team in order to provide their patients with a more comprehensive, collaborative approach to patient care.
This move ensured a multidisciplinary team with a variety of other health care providers such as nurse practitioners, dietitians, social workers, mental health workers, nurses, nurse educators and other physicians with a variety of expertise in the primary health care field.
There are presently three physicians at Quinte West who work in concert with two physicians in Brighton — 20 kms. to the west.
We are a fully computerized facility with an electronic medical record which allows all physicians to access each others' medical records. This is valuable when a physician is on call for the group.
The physicians are members of the funding model - A Family Health Organization and pay a set percentage of their FHO income in order to have a turnkey operation.
The QWMC is currently looking for and recruiting additional family doctors.
