Planning Advisory Committee
Purpose
The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) is a standing committee of City Council. The Committee has been delegated the responsibility to conduct public meetings as prescribed under the Planning Act. The PAC makes recommendations to Council on a variety of planning matters including, but not limited to, rezoning applications, plans of subdivision, and amendments to the Official Plan. PAC meetings are an open public forum where anyone concerned about an application can ask questions and express concerns.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Planning Advisory Committee are briefly outlined below.
- Listen to the concerns of citizens and developers, evaluate recommendations made by staff, and make recommendations to Council regarding development applications.
- PAC is also the standing Property Standards Committee.

Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm.
